Personal Training

Personal Training (PT) offers an extremely high level of help, advice, motivation and depth of training to kick start you on your journey to reach all your health and fitness goals.

Conducted purely on a one to one basis, it allows sufficient time for nutritional examination, varied training sessions and structured goal setting, keeping you focused and motivated. PT will reduce the risk of injury so is great for beginners learning new techniques right the way through to individuals with exemplary levels of fitness wanting every aspect of their routine analysed. You will literally be able to see the results. Sessions can be purchased as one-offs or commit to 10 sessions and receive the 10th free!

Introduction: 

Oli has worked at the centre from its opening, developing the strength and fitness of both students and members. As well as being Health and Fitness Manager, Oli has been a fully qualified Personal Trainer for a number of years prior to joining the management team. His reputation as a friendly professional instructor is well established and it’s clear his passion still lies within the practical side of the job. Oli continues to take regular exercise classes and is always on hand to give advice on nutrition, one of his many passions. His favourite form of exercise is weight training, kettlebells and football.

Having been involved in a wide variety of sports from a young age Dan has continued developing his passion for all things physical by studying biology, physical education and an advance personal trainer diploma. Having been dedicated to the leisure industry for a number of years now, he has plenty of experience working with numerous clients and now oversees all personal training at the Tonbridge School Centre. Introduction:

Emma chose this industry after shedding five and a half stone and changing her life completely, going from sedentary to cycling from London to Paris within two years. Fitness is a huge part of Emma’s life now and she is extremely keen to pass on her passion and enthusiasm to the TSC Members and Tonbridge School boys. Emma is a very friendly and knowledgeable member of the team and has what it takes to help you reach your goals however big or small.

Samantha is a friendly, energetic and committed trainer who understands the struggles of achieving the ideal body, by helping her clients rethink their approach to exercise and lifestyle by making small changes that will last a lifetime. Her passion for fitness started young and has continued to grow, constantly training herself to find fun and effective training methods which will achieve the desirable results for her clients in a short amount of time. Sam has a wide array of expertise, teaching a range of fitness classes from mind and body to high impact, making it easy for her to motivate all ages, shapes or fitness levels. Sam thrives on getting her clients the results they deserve whilst giving the feel good factor.

"The initial reason that I came to Oli was because I wanted guidance to help with strengthening around a weak area of my back which I injured years ago. My back pain made me nervous about doing certain things and I made the wrong assumption that I would not be able to make the most of a gym and that I should keep resting.  However, two years on of working through tailor made routines, I hardly get any trouble from my back which is amazing and it is really clear to me that everywhere around the injury/ vulnerable area has been strengthened by the specific exercises personally tuned to me.  In fact, now I have found that if I miss going for more than a couple of weeks, I can tell I need to get back into the gym because I start to get the odd tweak occur.

It also suits me to get guidance every now and then if I have a sore muscle from some other sporting mishap- it doesn't now mean I have to stop exercising, but Oli just changes things so I can have a routine which I can achieve. No excuses now!! 

Having a regular slot and/ or a target to reach before the next time of updating a routine is also really motivational."
